A lower‑intensity class ideal for beginners, older adults, those recovering from injury or anyone with specific health conditions. Gentle Pilates focuses on safe, controlled movement to build confidence, mobility and core strength at a comfortable pace.

Fundamental Pilates

A mat‑based class focusing on the core principles of Pilates, including core strength, posture, balance and flexibility. Ideal for beginners or anyone wanting to build a strong foundation in technique and body awareness.

Intermediate Pilates

Designed for those with experience of the fundamentals, this class introduces more challenging movements while maintaining pace and flow. Intermediate Pilates helps deepen strength, control and coordination through progressive sequences.

Seated Pilates

A supportive, chair‑based class that maintains all the core principles of Pilates without requiring participants to get down to the floor. Perfect for individuals with limited mobility, balance concerns or those who prefer additional stability while exercising.

Mixed Ability Pilates

A versatile class aimed at individuals with some Pilates experience. Exercises can be progressed, adapted or modified to suit different abilities, making it suitable for those who want a personalised challenge within a group setting.

Benefits

Pilates is widely recognised for its positive impact on physical health, mobility and mental wellbeing. Taking part in Pilates can offer:

  • Improved balance and body awareness — Mindful movement and deep thoracic breathing help reduce the risk of injuries and falls.
  • Increased mobility and flexibility — Slow, controlled stretching improves joint range of motion and reduces stiffness.
  • Reduced stress and improved mood — Pilates can lower cortisol levels and stimulate feel‑good endorphins, boosting energy and motivation.
  • Strengthened postural muscles — Better alignment helps reduce headaches, shoulder tension and back pain.
  • Lower injury risk — Strengthening stabilising muscles improves joint support and control during movement.
  • Reduced lower‑back pain — Engaging deep core and pelvic floor muscles helps stabilise the spine and improve comfort.
  • Enhanced functional movement — Pilates supports everyday activities by improving strength, coordination and mobility.
  • Suitable for all abilities — Movements can be adapted for beginners, returners and those with specific health conditions.
