We are celebrating the wonderful news that our Centre Manager, Clare Griffin, has been listed in the Queens Honours and will be awarded an MBE for services to the Isle of Wight community.
The announcement was made public at 10.30 PM on Friday 9th October.
Clare said, “I am absolutely overwhelmed by this honour. I have the huge privilege of working with the most fantastic, dedicated team of staff, Trustees, volunteers and community groups. That team grew in size and stepped up to take on the challenge of the recent lock down.
“I am in awe of what ‘Team West Wight’ has achieved over the years – from the early days of building West Wight Swimming Pool to this year, being part of the West Wight Coronavirus support hub. I’m just one part of that amazing team and it is a credit to everyone I work with that we have been acknowledged for our work”
