Impact of the Community Connector Role

In 2025, the Community Connector service at West Wight Sports and Community Centre supported over 230 local residents, helping people feel less isolated, more confident and better connected to their community.

The role combines practical one‑to‑one support—such as help with benefits, accessibility and life transitions—with the development of inclusive community initiatives including Our Place, Eco Refill and wider well‑being projects.
This work demonstrates the real difference community‑based support can make, strengthening resilience, dignity and connection across West Wight.
