Dan Stirrup

June 3, 2026

On June 1st in Hamburg, Germany, one of our dedicated supporters, Dan Stirrup, accomplished something truly extraordinary — he completed an Ironman. For those unfamiliar, an Ironman is not just any sporting event. It’s widely regarded as one of the most physically demanding endurance challenges in the world. Participants must complete a 2.4-mile swim, followed by a 112-mile bike ride, and finish with a full 26.2-mile marathon — all in one day, and all back-to-back. It’s a test of physical strength, mental grit, and relentless perseverance.

Dan didn’t take on this challenge lightly. Months of dedicated training, early mornings, strict routines, and countless hours pushing his body to the limit culminated in this one incredible day. But what makes Dan’s journey even more inspiring is that he chose to turn his Ironman experience into an opportunity to give back. He took on the event not just for personal achievement, but to raise funds for two charities close to his heart — with donations being split equally between them.

We’re honoured and humbled to be one of the charities Dan selected. His generosity and determination have already raised over £2,600, and the support is still growing. This level of commitment — both to his athletic goals and to making a real difference in the world — is nothing short of remarkable.

Completing an Ironman requires intense discipline and sacrifice. Dan’s journey would have included long training sessions in all weather conditions, managing injuries or fatigue, and balancing personal and professional commitments. It takes more than fitness — it takes heart, focus, and resilience. To also be fundraising on top of all this adds an entirely new level of dedication.

When Dan crossed that finish line in Hamburg, he wasn’t just celebrating a personal victory. He was representing every single person who supported him, believed in him, and donated toward the causes he cares about. He was proving that with determination and purpose, incredible things are possible.

We are beyond grateful to Dan for choosing to support us as part of his Ironman journey. The funds raised will go a long way in helping us continue our work, supporting our mission, and reaching even more people in need. His contribution is not just financial — it also brings visibility and awareness, showing others what can be accomplished when you combine personal passion with community spirit.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to support Dan’s campaign, there’s still time!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, contributes to the impact he set out to make when he first started this journey. If you’d like to contribute, simply click the link below to donate:

Dan, we salute you. Your strength, determination, and selflessness are truly inspiring. You’ve shown us what’s possible when we chase our goals with purpose and generosity. Congratulations on completing such a monumental challenge, and thank you — from all of us — for taking us along for the ride.

Let Dan’s story be a reminder that greatness is within reach when we set our sights high and move forward with passion and purpose. Here’s to many more incredible achievements, on and off the course!
