Overview
Our Place is a warm, welcoming community space where everyone is invited to drop in, connect with others and feel part of the local community.
Designed to be informal and inclusive, Our Place offers a relaxed environment where people can meet for a chat, access support, share experiences or simply enjoy a cup of tea in friendly company. Whether you are new to the area, feeling isolated, or just looking for somewhere to connect, Our Place is here for you.
Sessions are supported by the Community Connector, alongside partners and volunteers, helping create a safe, supportive space for people across the West Wight community.

Our Place is designed to be simple, informal and welcoming. When you attend, you can expect:

- A chance to meet new people and build connections
- Tea, coffee and conversation
- Access to local information and support
- A space where you can drop in and feel comfortable, with no pressure
There is no set structure—just come along in a way that suits you.

You do not need to be referred—everyone is welcome.

Our Place drop-in sessions take place at:
Christ Church, Totland
Mondays – 2:00pm to 3:30pm

1st Tuesday of the month:

2nd Tuesday of the month:
Tony - Veterans Outreach support - help for veterans and their families
Steve - The Footprin Trust - energy advice and support (check social media as not every month)
Sandra and Chris - Safeguard Technologies - devices to help people stay independent at home
3rd Tuesday of the month:
Diane - Livign Well and Early Help Service - support for people aged 18+
Miranda - Age UK Isle of Wight - services and volunteer opportunities for older people
Lucy - AIM2 - Support for autistic and/or ADHD adults - no diagnosis required
4th Tuesday of the month:
Tony - Veterans Outreach Support -support for veterans and their families
Sandra and Chris - Safeguard Technologies - devices to help people stay independent at home
Final Tueday of the month (4th or 5th dependant on month):
Steve - Green IOW - energy advice and support
Becca Cameron - Freshwater South Councillor - monthly surgery
No booking or appointment is required—just drop in.
Our Place Thursdays - Activity Sessions
West Wight Sports and Community Centre
Thursdays – 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Run by our volunteer team in 6-week blocks we run activity sessions starting with a short chair-excersise session. Main sessions include arts and crafts, reminiscence, games and more. Have ideas about what else we could do? Let us know.
