Parkinson’s Disease Course
Overview
Our Parkinson’s Disease Course at West Wight Sports & Community Centre on the Isle of Wight provides specialist exercise support for people in the early stages of Parkinson’s. Led by our qualified fitness team, Aidan and Emily—both trained in the internationally recognised PD Warrior programme—this course focuses on improving strength, balance, coordination and confidence through targeted, high‑effort movement.
PD Warrior is an evidence‑based physical rehabilitation approach designed specifically for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The exercises aim to slow the progression of symptoms by stimulating the brain’s ability to rewire and protect itself. By offering this programme in the heart of the West Wight community, we provide an accessible and supportive environment for people looking to stay active, maintain independence and improve their overall wellbeing.
