Aqua Aerobics
Overview
Aqua Aerobics at West Wight Sports and Community Centre on the Isle of Wight is a lively, low‑impact fitness class designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility using water‑based exercise. Taking place in our pool, Aqua Aerobics combines structured movements with the natural resistance of water to create an effective full‑body workout.
The supportive nature of the water reduces impact on joints and muscles, making Aqua Aerobics a great option for those looking to stay active while minimising strain. Classes are welcoming, sociable and suitable for a wide range of abilities, helping members of the West Wight community enjoy fitness in a fun and supportive environment.
Sessions are delivered in both shallow and deep water, with equipment such as buoyancy belts, hand buoys and woggles used to add resistance and variety.

Session Types
Shallow Water Aqua Aerobics

Deep Water Aqua Aerobics
A higher‑intensity class using buoyancy belts or ankle cuffs. Designed to challenge balance and core stability while remaining low impact.
