West Wight Waves

June 3, 2026

West Wight Waves is a sponsored swimming event designed to inspire you to swim further than you ever have before—all while raising vital funds for our much-loved community hub. Dive in and win!

Taking place on Saturday 28th March between 11am and 5pm, this inclusive event is open to all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a confident swimmer or simply want to challenge yourself in a supportive environment, West Wight Waves is for you.

West Wight Waves is about more than swimming—it’s about coming together to support our centre. All participants are asked to raise a minimum of £20, and with a collective fundraising target of £15,000, every penny truly counts.

How it works …

You can take part as an individual or as part of a team. Choose to swim for as long as you can, or join in relay-style and share the challenge with friends, family, or colleagues.

Entry forms are available to pick up from Reception, or you can download, complete, and return the form using the button above.

On the day

There’ll be plenty happening in and around the pool, including:

  • Prizes for most money raised, furthest distance swum, age group awards, and more
  • Demonstrations from Freshwater and Yarmouth Lifeboat
  • tabletop sale, games, and activities for everyone to enjoy
  • Even if you’re not swimming, come along to cheer on the participants, soak up the atmosphere, and show your support for the local community. Dive in and win!
